Full-time students from the School of Business and Economics at Linnaeus University are invited to participate in an exciting initiative to collaborate on their Master’s and Bachelor’s theses.
This project investigates how Swedish SMEs can utilize diagonal network relationships, which are non-traditional, indirect connections, within their internationalization strategies in emerging markets. Students will examine the value of unconventional partnerships and alliances that don’t fall under typical supplier, distributor, or competitor categories, focusing on how these relationships can drive successful market entry and expansion. By mapping relevant diagonal networks in a selected emerging market, students will develop strategic recommendations for leveraging these connections. The insights generated will help Swedish SMEs build innovative and sustainable international networks, facilitating long-term growth in emerging economies.
Priority will be given to students studying international business, those with an industrial marketing background, and groups that emphasize inclusivity and diversity. Additionally, applicants who aim to publish their thesis as open-access on Linnaeus University’s DiVA platform will be given extra consideration.
